The spirit of the Dominican people is festive, our race is, we are a mix of Spanish and African slaves, we are known for being the people of the eternal smile.

We have three mountain chains, among them the Duarte Peak, the highest one in the Antilles, we also have Enriquillo Lake, the biggest in the Caribbean and the Oviedo Lagoon an ecological oddity.

Presently, the opening of the Marina of Casa de Campo, have created the conditions for the development of the renowned clubs of nautical modeling in the Dominican Republic.

Our national bird is the Cigua Palmera and we have many national parks, among them the Parque Nacional de Este (Eastern National Park) with endemic flora, from which we can highlight the Rose of Bayahibe, a unique flower found only here.
